Elders whom have died in the plane crash
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on March 16, 2008 - 1:11am.
I too have lost my husband of 22 years 4 mos and 22days. He had brain cancer and I had to watch him deteriate for a year and 4 mos. I lost him June 28,2007. I felt I died with him. As I am sure you all feel that way. However It has been 9 mos and I am beginning to feel alive again. Jehovah has given me strength to continue to train my children and others about the wonderful resurrection hope at John 5:28& 29 as well as the promise of no more pain death or suffering at Rev 21:3&4. I also lost my mother to a tragic death in June of 1993. She lost her life in a sudden tractor accident. I'm hear to tell you whether it is fast or slow the pain is deeply felt. Jehovah put and eternity into our hearts, so death is unnatural and devistating. I am very sorry for the loss of your mates because I know the feeling of losing the human to whom you are closest to, you complement and helper. May Jehovah strenthen you and heal your wounds. I try not to let myself think about the day of their deaths and pray for Jehovah to guard mine and your hearts and mental powers as he promises at Phil 4: 6&7. Continue to petition him and he will guard your thinkng. Stay busy in service. I know this can be hard when you just want to crawl in bed and not face the world. The new tasks you have to handle as the new head of your families can be frighting and over whelming. Keep all these things in your prayers and he will sustain you. Remember Jehovah our heavenly father cares deeply for us as we have been crushed(Isiah 57:15). My heart goes out to you for your losses.
Christian love,

The men killed in the plane cras
Submitted by Raymonde and Donat Bourgeois (not verified) on December 25, 2007 - 2:33pm.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of these faithful elders that died in this plane crash.
We understand what the family is going through and the resurrection hope is a great comfort for my husband Donat and I, since we lost our daughter, granddaughter and son in law in a vehicle accident nearly 17 years ago.
Psalms 34: 18 + 19 is a great source of comfort for us and know it will be for those faithful brothers and sisters that have experienced such great loss.
To see our dead loved ones again in Jehovah's wonderful paradise right here on earth again is so encouraging.

Plane Crash
Submitted by M Cruz (not verified) on November 10, 2007 - 2:40pm.
My family also shares in the Kingdom Hall building work. I have had the thought of an accident occuring since they travel far distances to build these centers of true worship to Jehovah. But, I have taken comfort in the fact that if anything were to happen Jehovah would surely remember their labors in behalf of the good news.
Your family member will certainly be in Jehovah's memory till the promised ressurection. Try to think about this from Jehovah's standpoint. Your loved one is as alive to Jehovah, as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who though dead were alive to Jehovah, the God of the Living. (Matt. 22:32)"He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to Him." Luke 20:38
Remember, Jehovah knows the very person your husband was and will ressurect him to enjoy all the beauty of a Paradise earth and he will no doubt teach once again in one of the Kingdom Halls brothers like him have built to Jehovah's praise. Time is so short in this old system. Jehovah is near to bringing to ruin those ruining his beautiful creation, the earth, and he will soon transform this earth into a paradise and bring back to life all those who have died, both the righteous and the unrighteous. Then there will be much more work to do and your dear loved one will surely be back to building again....just keep a waiting attitude on Jehovah...whose day to bring this is near...remember Zeph. 1:14 which says, "The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near, and there is a hurrying of it very much...."

One Day Closer
Submitted by Your Sister (not verified) on October 5, 2007 - 3:03pm.
To my dear Brothers and Sisters,
We share this great loss with you. When I saw the news report, I immediately began to cry, as if I knew the Brothers personally. But please remember when you are feeling low, that everyday we are one day closer to Paradise. We have Jehovah's promise of the resurrection and when we see them again, they will be whole.
They are safe in Jehovah's memory and he smiles when he thinks of the work they did for his glory and to further his purpose.
"For God is not unrighteous so as to forget YOUR work and the love YOU showed for his name, in that YOU have ministered to the holy ones and continue ministering. (Hebrews 6:10) They will be rewarded with everlasting life.
I look forward to meeting them in Paradise.

May Jehovah God & his son Jesus Christ bring comfort to all of you in a time like this. Remember that there will be a day that the words of 1 Corinthians 15:55 will come true and we will trully be able to say, “Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?”. For death is like a sting that hurts only temporarily as we have the hope that John 5: 28-29 give us: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment".
"Consequently, my beloved brothers, become steadfast, unmovable, always having plenty to do in the work of the Lord, knowing that YOUR labor is not in vain in connection with [the] Lord." - 1 Corinthias 15: 58
"For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten." - Ecclesiastes 9:5

Dear Friends,
I can't say more than so many of my brothers have already said. But I do know that as my own husband is an elder, I can understand somewhat what you might all be dealing with. I know the loss you must feel is not just your own but also the congregation's loss as well. Jehovah will fill the gap in your congregation as well as in your hearts. I do keep you in my prayers and pray that one day you can remember them with less pain and more joy and fond memories. I also pray that you can use the memories to help you be strong in your service to our Grand God Jehovah and look forward to this old system running out as soon as can be. I long for that day when 'death will be no more'. Know that myself and many, many more of your brothers and sisters in the faith are always thinking of and praying for you and the other families.

You've Lost so much...
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on September 27, 2007 - 12:49pm.
You've lost so much, my dear brothers and sisters; how deeply sorry we are for you. It goes without saying that, even now, Jehovah has picked you up in his loving arms, and the preceding letters illustrate the fact of that so well. Our beautiful Truth family is so big, and we usually get the benefit of it only after a numbing tragedy like this one that has hurt so deeply the Walp family, as well as the families of our other precious brothers.
We know that your family and congregation must struggle, now, to carry on through the pain; and the scriptures do say we will have this pain, but that Jehovah will always give us the way through, when we are "crushed", when we are "pressed from all sides", and when we are "broken". But, only for "a little while" will it be that we are enduring these things, yes?
We are praying, then, brothers; we are praying that Jehovah is blessing your efforts to turn to him; that you are able to allow Jehovah to fill the space left by your loss with his great and powerful spirit; and to allow that comfort that only Christ's ransom sacrifice can bring to compel you forward towards the day when the paradise hope can make your hearts whole again.
The love Christ has compels us to say that, though we have never met and we do not know one another, we love you, we grieve for you, and we hope with you that Jehovah's promised day will come in it's time to undo all these sad events.
In all Christian Love and with deep sympathy,

Loss of Your Loved Ones
Submitted by Phillip and Irene Jackson (not verified) on September 26, 2007 - 11:56am.
Our hearts go out to you for the loss of your loved ones. We relate to your loss as we too have lost our mates. We found comforting the words at Psalm 56:8 "Do put my tears in your skin bottle." Jehovah holds us so dear and precious to him that he puts our tears in a skin bottle. That reassurance was so comforting to us.
Also comforting is the scripture at Philipians 4:6,7 "let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." Through your own prayers and those of your brothers and sisters worldwide, we experience a peace and calmness that only Jehovah can give us through his holy spirit. It feels as if he wraps us up in his arms of tender loving care.
We hope that these thoughts from Jehovah's word gives all of you, and especially the children, a measure of peace. Only Jehovah can sustain you at this time of grief. Rely heavily on him, and he will be there for you.
Our prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Our Warm Christian Love,

First let me express my condolences to the families and friends of my brothers lost in the crash. As Jehovah's people we do all things for Jehovahs glory. What a witness this tragic occassion can be for persons earnestly seeking true religion. Even though we mourn our sorrow is not like those without hope. Let this be a witness to onlookers of the powerful hope and united worship of Jehovah's people. Our confindence in the resurrection is strong. We know very soon all in their memorial tombs will come out and death will be no more. We are a hopeful people in a hopeless world. How well Jehovah provides for his people now. Soon we will see all of our love ones again. Jehovah can not lie.

In tears grieving with you.
Submitted by Br. and Sis. Hojer (not verified) on September 15, 2007 - 5:08am.
Me and my wife heard of this tragic accident the day of our leaving the US going back to Denmark ,Europe.I have just read and seen the news clip and was in tears. We, J.W.s from Denmark visited New York, went both to Bethel Brooklyn and the Watchtower farm in Walkill and were priviledged to go to the District Convention"Follow the Christ" in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
To visit the Bethel facilities is truly a proof of Gods people in action. To see these brothers and sisters giving their lives in service to Jehovah, to produce "food" for us , not only in the US but worldwide is something one owes him/her self to experience to see.The order and peace found here is truly a little taste of what is to come.
To think about that these brothers were on their way to build a Kingdom Hall , actually "following the Christ" adhering and doing his will, for
You and I is indeed aplauded. For sure our great God Jehovah will remmber them and their fine work in the resurection that we all look so very much forward to.
My wife and I have travelled all over Europe , the USA and the Philippines were she is from. And everywhere the brothers are the same, all striving hard preaching the
Good News "following the Christ`s" example.
Our heartfelt prayers goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones for a while, but we rejoice with you in the fact that they have been faithful to the end , although it came sooner than anyone could have imagined . We cry tears of sadness now but in the resurrection we shall cry tears of joy.

It is absolutely amazing how our worldwide brotherhood is made up of love. This is so evident. We are all writing here to give the families of our dear brothers that were lost in the accident encouragement and support and yet, we find encouragement and feel the love ourselves. Most of us seem to not have known these brothers personally and yet, we are all touched in our personal lives by what has happened to them....... because we are all part of the same family. What more can be said........ to the family members of these 5 brothers, do as these brothers did and stay faithful to the end yourselves so that when when Jehovah resurrects them... you too will be there and it will be a most joyous occasion..... if there were to be any tears then, they will only be tears of pure joy. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you all.

We heard about this tragic accident during the reading of the daily text at the construction of a local Kingdom Hall this past weekend. The brother who had to make the announcement broke down in tears several times before being able to share the news with us. It left everyone there with tears in their eyes. Yet we can all take a small bit of comfort knowing that there is nothing better than saying we served Jehovah faithfully until the end. Rely on Jehovah with all of your heart, he will never lead you wrong and he will never forget the dear brothers that lost their lives in the accident. Isn't it amazing to be a part of this wonderful family, where we receive such loving support and to know that you and your family are in our prayers. Tragic loss
Submitted by Jennifer Dail (not verified) on September 13, 2007 - 8:40am.
I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to all those families who lost their loved ones in the plane crash. Also, to the congregations who are grieving the loss of their dear elders. As a fellow believer, I know how we cherish our dear elders and am sure that they will be deeply missed. Looking over the other comments, it's truly amazing how we, as Jehovah's people, are empathetic to what our brothers and sisters are facing. No matter where in the world, we always have the love, support, and prayers of our loving association. May the families and congregations take comfort in knowing that, not only do their brothers and sisters feel their pain, but their loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah, "well knows the formation of us" and knows their heartache. He will grant all peace of mind and calmness of heart. Certainly those families readily await the day when they can wrap their arms around those dear brothers again.

Even though we don't know these friends personally, they are just like family and we mourn deeply because of the great loss. May Jehovah warm the families hearts with the marvelous hope of the resurrection and just like the recent Watchtower described it, they are just away for a short time on a journey, soon to 'wake up' and return home. One of my favorite text is from the Examining the Scriptures from November 8, 2006 from Ps 121:2. The first line of the comments reads: "God is responsible whenever one true worshiper helps another." This is due to the fact that Jehovah's spirit impels us to love our brothers. The love that the brotherhood has for you precious friends certainly reflects the tender love and concern from Jehovah Himself. I was absolutely overwhelmed to be amoung the 2800 + at the memorial services and I'm sure it had an even greater impact on all of you. I hope that the number of prayers being offered on your behalf will fill your hearts and minds with the peace of God.

Submitted by Steinun Priem (not verified) on September 10, 2007 - 11:28pm.
Although there is little to say that has not been said my husband and I pray for Jehovah to strengthen and comfort you all ~ families and friends who are temporarily separated from loved ones who died in this terrible crash. We see many who struggle with the pain of death and need comfort. I am sure these brothers have given comfort to others who have experienced such loss and hope that our love will comfort you during this terrible time. We know Jehovah's promise of the resurrection and look forward to welcoming back our loved ones and then the fulfillment of Revelation 21:3, 4 “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, AND DEATH WILL BE NO MORE, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” May we meet you all when these promises are fulfilled under God's kingdom government with Jesus Christ as King when this pain will be erased as you meet your loved ones in the resurrection. Until then we will draw close to Jehovh and each other...

We are pressed in every way, but not cramped beyond movement; we are perplexed, but not left in the lurch; we are thrown down but not destroyed. Always we endure everywhere in our body the death-dealing treatment given to Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be made manifest in our body. How comforting to know that when these brothers awake from their sleeplike state they will be resuming the work they set out for-- building new homes and places of worship for all of Jehovah's servants! Dear Ones,
Truly we are sorry to hear of your loss. At times such as these we truly need Jehovah's comfort and the support He supplies through the brotherhood. How nicely this last Sunday's Watchtower helped us to view death; as a friend who is going away for an extended time but who will return. We will greatly miss them but we KNOW they will be back, and we will see them again. That is Jehovah's promise. At this difficult time draw upon your faith in His promises and be strong. Please feel the love that is extended to you from near and far.

We all feel the loss but know the hope is sure
Submitted by Sister R (not verified) on September 7, 2007 - 7:13pm.
For all the friends and family members of our dear brothers I am adding my prayers to our loving God Jehovah who will most certainly remember them early in the resurrection when we can all see them again here in the beautiful paradise under the everlasting rule of His son Christ Jesus.
(Revelation 21:1-4)"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Remember..
(Revelation 21:5) . . .And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”
Everyone of your worldwide family shares the shock of this tragedy but also in the true hope that the Bible holds out to all who serve God faithfully.
(1 Peter 5:9)"But take YOUR stand against him, solid in the faith, knowing that the same things in the way of sufferings are being accomplished in the entire association of YOUR brothers in the world."
Here in just these comments we and others can see that we do "..have love for the whole association of brothers."(1 Peter 2:17)
WE love you our dear, dear friends.

We have never met and my never, we are sisters and brother in the faith. Our prayers go out to each and evry one of you for your lost. They are now at peace from this wicked system, we are the ones now who have the fight on us. With our hope we will see them again.
May Jehovahs blessing be with you all during this sadden time.
