Blood Assurance reports critical Type O shortage

They ask for donations in what is a traditionally slow time of year for them

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga’s Blood Assurance says they have less than a day’s supply of O blood available for patients who need it.

They are asking for the public to donate blood.

Officials tell us this is a typically slow time of year for blood donations, because people get busy during the holidays.
