Nurse charged with TennCare fraud for not working what she claimed
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The TBI’s Medical Fraud Control Unit investigated a different kind of TennCare fraud case in Nashville.
They have charged LPN Brenda Shields who worked for CareAll.
Investigators say the falsified timesheets and nursing notes, forged client signatures, and did not work the shifts she reported to CareAll.
The bogus work was paid for by TennCare insurance.
The company returned the money to the state and fired Shields.
But she still faces one count of TennCare fraud.
