One resident impacted by East Lake house fire

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A home caught fire in East Lake Wednesday morning, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.

They said the fire happened on the 3200 block of 6th Avenue. Firefighters received the call shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The fire department reported seeing flames and smoking coming out of the side of the house.

The CFD said there were no injuries.

However, they are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.

CFD said that Red Cross will be supporting the impacted resident.
