3 year old dies after shooting at Apison home

APISON, Tennessee (WDEF) Hamilton County Sheriff’s officers investigate a shooting Monday morning at a home in Apison.

The call came in after 9AM in the 4700 block of Gates Lane.

Investigators say a three year old was shot while inside the family’s vehicle.

The child was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct the investigation into how the child died.
