117 cats removed from home in Canton, Georgia
CANTON, GA (CBS46) – According to the Cherokee County Marshal’s Office, 117 cats were removed from a home in Canton Saturday.
Around 11 p.m. Friday night, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to a “strange smell” coming from the home.
The officers removing the cats from the house had to wear hazmat suits because of the condition of the home. Each animal was taken to the Cherokee County Animal Shelter for an evaluation by a vet to determine the animals’ health condition,” said Public Information Officer Sgt. Matthew McMullen.
