15-year-old suspect charged with second-degree murder in Colony Circle shooting
UPDATE: The 35-year-old victim has died from his life-threatening injuries.
The 15-year-old suspect has officially been charged with second-degree murder following the death of the victim.
The Chattanooga Police Department is still investigating the incident.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — On September 30th around 6 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a reported shooting at the 100 block of Colony Circle.
Upon arriving, the CPD found a 35-year-old man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Service.
CPD’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct an investigation and process the crime scene.
During the investigation, a 15-year-old boy turned himself in and was taken into custody.
He has been charged with attempted second degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
