15-year-old Tennessee boy faces criminal homicide charges
LEWIS COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a 15-year-old boy is being held by authorities for a fatal shooting.
One person died and one other person was injured from the shooting on April 12.
It happened at a house at 341 Mt. View Road in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
TBI agents found Van Franklin Cates dead at the home. A woman in the home was injured and taken to a Nashville hospital in critical condition.
They then determined that the teenager was responsible for the shootings.
That same day, authorities placed a detention order on the juvenile and petitioned him with criminal homicide.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is holding him in a juvenile facility.
Authorities have not identified the juvenile in this case.
