18-year-old arrested in connection to March Central Avenue shooting
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a March shooting that left a man injured in the 4900 block of Central Avenue.
On April 22, 2025, Cordai Miree was taken into custody by Chattanooga Police with help from the U.S. Marshals Service.
This arrest was the result of an investigation that led to formal indictments by a Hamilton County Grand Jury.
Miree faces charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
He has been booked into the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
The charges stem from an incident on March 14, 2025, when police responded to a person shot call around 2:18 a.m.
Upon arrival, authorities found a 21-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
