2 arrested in stabbing over spilled cheese dip

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A woman is in critical condition after police said she was stabbed for spilling Rotel cheese dip.

The victim crashed her car near Winchester Road and Milbranch Road while trying to drive to the hospital.

Investigators said the victim and two suspects were together when the victim reportedly spilled Rotel Dip, causing the female suspect, later identified as Yolanda Tucker, to get upset.

Police said the male suspect, later identified as Michael Weston, then gave Tucker the knife she used to stab the victim. Originally, Weston gave police the fake name of Albert Jackson. Investigators later discovered that Jackson is Weston’s brother. Police say Weston has used his brother’s name several times in the past.

The victim was taken to Methodist University Hospital in critical condition from the crash.

Yolanda Tucker and Michael Weston were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
