2 found dead in Gatlinburg hot tub

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) — Gatlinburg officials say two were found dead in a rental cabin on Saturday morning.

At approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, a male and female in their early 60s were found deceased in a hot tub.

The circumstances surrounding the cause is still being investigated. Officials say no foul play is suspected.

No additional information will be released pending notification of the victims’ families. Dispatchers say an official release will be available Monday.
