2 people shot on Vance Ave

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police say they responded to the 2200 block of Vance Avenue around 6:40 pm Sunday night where they found 2 males with gunshot wounds.

Chattanooga Police identified the men as 34 year old Rigoberto Salvador-Morales and 20 year old Celso Perez.

CPD says both men were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Chattanooga Police, the 2 men were sitting in a parked vehicle – Salvador-Morales was in the driver seat and Perez in the passenger seat.

CPD says 2 other males approached the passenger side of the car and fired shots that hit Perez.

The 2 suspects then went to the driver side and fired shots striking Salvador-Morales according to CPD.

CPD also says the suspects left the scene with the driver’s wallet and cell phone.

CPD’s Violent Crimes Bureau is actively investigating the incident.
