2024 Chattanooga Regional Anti-Hunger Conference
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) -The Tennessee Justice Center, along with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and the YMCA of Chattanooga, came together for the Chattanooga Regional Anti-Hunger Conference on October 22nd, 2024
Today’s event took place at the Chattanooga Downtown Public Library to discuss ongoing matters regarding Anti-Hunger topics.
Panels, presentations, and other activities to bolster collaboration and spread information about this work took place at the day’s events.
This event was planned in order to bring together stakeholders and partners doing the work of Anti-Hunger in Southeast TN to discuss various federal programs like Feeding America, Child Nutrition, WIC, and SNAP.
The federal programs that work hand and hand together help to build a community of advocates, policymakers, and anti-hunger partners.
They also help to strengthen food assistance programs and advance bold policies to end hunger and address its root causes.
The groups are continuously fighting to protect SNAP, fund Child Nutrition Programs, and even end military hunger.
