2024 Walker County Toy Run Brings Joy to Local Families

The holiday spirit was in full throttle this weekend as the 2024 Walker County Toy Run revved up to bring joy to local families in need.

Riders from across the region gathered to participate in this beloved annual event, organized to benefit the Al Millard Memorial Stocking Full of Love nonprofit. Their mission? To ensure that every child in Walker County has a gift to unwrap this holiday season.

“This is something we love because everyone comes together at this particular time on a Sunday to bring toys. It’s amazing how many toys will be at Lafayette High School! This is a joyous event, one of our main activities, and we truly appreciate all the participants,” said Bruce Coker, coordinator for Stocking Full of Love.

This year’s Toy Run featured an impressive motorcycle display, showcasing everything from classic bikes to modern marvels. Participants took part in a scenic ride through the county, all in the name of charity.

“We have about 20 motorcycle clubs out today supporting this great cause,” said Chris Pryor, a motorcyclist.

This year’s Toy Run promises to make a significant impact. Every donation helps fill stockings and brighten the holiday season for many families across Walker County.
