Tennessee Aquarium Opens Monster Fish Exhibit

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Aquarium is now taking advantage of the former Convention and Visitors Bureau building.

On Saturday, the Aquarium officially opened its new Monster Fish exhibit.

It features the adventures of Dr. Zeb Hogan, who hosts a National Geographic WILD series.

Visitors can learn about large fish in river basins around the world, and participate in hands-on activities.

It’s also hard to miss the life-sized sculptures here.

“They get to see the highlights of Zeb Hogan’s adventures, you know, so they get to see that,” said Senior Aquarist Nikki Eisenmenger. “They get to see just how big some of these animals can get. You hear 14 feet, you know, to see 14 feet of fish is absolutely awesome, so you kind’ve get a hands on of what that looks like.”

The Monster Fish exhibit will be open through March.
