One Killed in I-75 Crash in Catoosa County

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Georgia state troopers are investigating a deadly crash on I-75 in Catoosa County.

Georgia State Patrol tells News 12 the one-car crash happened at mile marker 350 near Ringgold around 4:30 p.m., Sunday.

A Subaru was heading south on the highway, when it abruptly ran off the road deep into a tree line.

Investigators believe the 68-year-old driver may have had a medical issue. He died at the scene.

The man’s wife – the only passenger – wasn’t hurt.

The couple was from Ormond Beach, Florida.

GSP is still investigating.
