27-year-old arrested for attempted first degree murder for Windsor Street shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — 27-year-old Ginairian Trammell Watt has been arrested for attempted first degree murder following a Windsor Street shooting on November 25, 2025.

Around 7:30 p.m. on November 25, 2025, Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a shooting at the 2300 block of Windsor Street.

A witness stated that the victim’s vehicle came to a stop and the driver got out and walked toward an apartment complex. The victim was in the front passenger seat.

The suspect approached the passenger side of the vehicle and began shooting at the victim. The witness said the victim was able to drive away and the suspect then fled on foot.

The witness also said the shooting was “unprovoked,” the affidavit said.

Spent 9mm shell casings were found at the scene and the victim’s vehicle had approximately 9 bullet defects, the affidavit said.

The victim, Aaron Daniels, arrived at the hospital via personal vehicle, the affidavit said. They say the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to their upper right leg, which had penetrated to the lower abdomen.

Ginairian Trammell Watt is charged with the following:

  • ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER
  • ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER
  • AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
  • RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT
  • POSSESSING A FIREARM WITH INTENT TO GO ARMED
