3 arrested in East Ridge on gun, drug possession charges

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — East Ridge police officers arrested multiple men for possessing illegal drugs and guns on Spring Creek Road on Tuesday.

Authorities received a call that men were sitting outside at 950 Spring Creek Road and smoking marijuana. An officer arrived and witnessed this and said one man was yelling at his phone. The officer said two other people were sitting inside a white Nissan Altima.

de seat of the car. The gun was a Glock .40 caliber firearm which was stolen out of Chattanooga, according to police.

Another person told officers he had a firearm in his pocket, and officers searched him. East Ridge police said they found a FN 9mm and 45 Percocet tablets in an unlabeled pill bottle.

Officers searched a third person who was in the backseat of the vehicle. Police said that man was in possession of a Glock 21 .45 caliber gun. He also had 981 Fentanyl pills in his pocket, according to the police department.

Authorities arrested these three men on several charges and turned the case over to the Crime Suppression Unit.
