3 bronze plaques stolen from Chattanooga national military park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Three bronze plaques were stolen from a Chattanooga national military park Sunday.

At 12:01 p.m., May 4, 2025, two white males removed three bronze plaques from the Sherman Reservation on Missionary Ridge.

The plaques are valued at $18,000.

According to the National Park Service (NPS), the males were driving a late 90s – early 2000s model Ford F-150, with an extended cab.

The truck is green in color with a two-toned gray stripe on the bottom quarter of the vehicle.

The front wheels on the driver’s side don’t match the other wheels.

These two male suspected appeared to be in their mid-20’s with brown hair.

At the time of the incident. one male was wearing a bright orange shirt that looks similar to a construction safety shirt.
