3 County Chase Ends in Suspect Dead

MCDONALD, Tenn (WDEF) – The manhunt in Bradley County this afternoon began with a chase in Meigs County and now the suspect who was at the center of that manhunt is dead.

Deputies there tried to stop it for a traffic violation and the car ran.

Deputies pursued a vehicle across the line into Hamilton County.

The chase wound through northern Hamilton County and into a third jurisdiction in Bradley County.

A pursuing Hamilton County officer managed to stop the car in the McDonald community.

His vehicle was damaged, but the deputy did not sustain any serious injuries.

One of the occupants of the car was taken into custody.

He is 32 year old Daniel Warren.

He faces charges of Reckless Endangerment in Hamilton County, plus more charges coming from the other two counties.

Warren is also wanted for desertion from the Armed Forces.

And he was arrested for driving on a suspended license in Chattanooga a couple of weeks ago.

24-year old Jeremy Headley was shot to death inside the Bradley County Landfill and furthermore it was an armed private citizen that

reportedly shot and killed Headley.

His death came more than two hours after multiple law enforcement agencies suspended a manhunt for Headley

Bradley County deputies brought in a helicopter to aide in the search along with drones and dogs.

Officials from all three counties took part in the search.

In all, authorities tell us three law enforcement vehicles were rammed in the chase.

The TBI has been asked to take over the investigation from this point forward.
