Chattanooga Police arrest suspect in Gillespie Road shooting

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are responding to another shooting overnight.

Around 11:00 Wednesday night, police got a report of a shooting victim at the hospital.

24 year old Devonte Pope was driven there by a private vehicle.

Investigators determined the crime scene was in the 400 block of Gillespie Road.

They arrested a suspect in the area.

21 year old Jaylon Priest faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
