58-year-old woman struck on Dayton Pike
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Just after midnight on Sunday, Chattanooga Police responded to a pedestrian struck on the 7000 block of Dayton Pike.
Upon arrival, officers found a 58-year-old woman that died at the scene.
The Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
According to the preliminary investigation, a vehicle was being driven northbound on Dayton Pike when the pedestrian walked into the roadway. The woman was struck and the driver continued driving.
The vehicle was later discovered to be a Toyota Tundra and the driver was found to be a 63-year-old man.
The CPD Traffic Unit continues to investigate this incident.
