5th annual Big Pig BBQ Festival takes over First Horizon Pavilion

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The 5th annual Big Pig BBQ Festival will be taking over the First Horizon Pavilion this Saturday, May 10 starting at 11:30 a.m.
Since the pavilion is a covered venue, visitors can enjoy a relief from the rain while diving into delicious barbecue.
News 12’s Amelia Greer is honored to be a featured judge at this year’s event and is ready to put her tastebuds to the test.
Barbecue will be judged in three different categories this year: Boston Butt Challenge, Anything But Butt, and People’s Choice!
A number of sponsors are participating in this year’s event. The event fundraiser supports the Construction Career Center.
From local eats to live music, attendees will have a day full of fun.
The Pretty Penny Band will kick off festivities at 11:30 a.m. with an Awards Ceremony wrapping things up at 3:30 p.m.
Tickets at $15 in advance and $25 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free.
