I-75 reopened after two wrecks cause major delays
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – I-75 South Bound is now reopened after two wrecks shutdown the interstate for an extended period of time Saturday morning.
The first wreck happened at I-75 South Bound at I-24 West and involved one vehicle.
Two people were injured during the wreck, with one individual suffering non-life-threatening injuries. The other person succumbed to their injuries.
The second incident happened at Interstate 75/Volkswagen South Bound involving two vehicles.
Three people were transported by HCEMS to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently investigating both incidents.
