Sheriff identifies murder victim in Jackson County

WOODVILLE, Alabama (WDEF) – The Jackson County Sheriff has now identified the body found two weeks ago in Woodville.

The victim was David Christen Lorenzo Rivamonte.

Sheriff Chuck Phillips got a tip about a possible homicide.

They searched a home on County Road 86 near the Marshal County line.

On Friday night, Sept. 14th, they found the body buried in some woods across the street.

But they did not release the name of the victim.

A week later, they charged 31 year old Brandon Blaine Berry from Woodville with kidnapping and murder.

But they still not reveal the identity of the victim, until now.
