North Shore Parking is a Growing Problem
As more businesses come to Chattanooga’s North Shore, finding a place to park is becoming more difficult.
The North Shore is popular for it’s slew of unique small businesses, but finding a place to park near them can be difficult.
Chattanooga Parking Authority Officials say there are 500 spots..including 2 large lots and a parking garage.
The owner of River Street Deli Bruce Weiss says they aren’t as close to his business as some customers would like.
"Someone’s coming for lunch, they have a window of time. So they leave their office, they get in the car, pool with a couple other people, park the car. They’d love to be able to just pull right up to the front get out go in, that’s great but it doesn’t always work," Weiss said.
You have to pay for parking Monday through Saturday on the North Shore, even though Downtown it’s Monday through Friday.
