Update on 3-year old who died from child abuse

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) –  Cause of the  death of 3-year old Tatiana Emerson has been confirmed by The Hamilton County Medical Examiners Office.

According to officials, Emerson was sexually assaulted before she was severely beaten to death.

Rhasean Lowry 34, stands accused of killing Emerson.

In the beginning, he reportedly told authorities she fell down a flight of stairs but investigators said his story was not consistent with her injuries.

Lowry remains in jail on a $500,000 bond.
