Man charged with murder in drug overdose case

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have charged a suspect with Second Degree Murder in a drug overdose case.

30-year-old Barbara Shope died from an opioid overdose on Williams Street back in August.

Now 30 year old Kedrick Bush has been charged in the case.

Investigators say he provided the drug and was on the scene at the time of the overdose.

They say more charges are pending against him.

Bush is currently in the Franklin County jail.
