Bradley teen escapees recaptured in Dalton

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Those two 16-year olds who broke out of the Bradley county juvenile detention center last Friday have been captured.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and the Cleveland Police Department announced today that Memphis Smith and Abraham Augustin were arrested just before noon at a gas station on Connector 3 in Dalton.

That followed their armed carjacking on McCutchen Rd in Chattanooga early this morning.

In addition to the original charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated rape, both juveniles will now face charges of felony escape and felony auto theft out of Bradley County.
