Vols Offensive Coordinator Tyson Helton Leaving Rocky Top For Western Kentucky

The Vols will have to find a new offensive coordinator.
According to multiple media reports, Tyson Helton is leaving after just one season on Rocky Top to take the head coaching job at Western Kentucky. Helton used to be the OC and quarterbacks coach for the Hilltoppers in 2014 and 2015. The Vols offense struggled to find consistency during Helton’s tenure, although injuries didn’t help. Tennessee finished last in the SEC in total offense. They were the only team in the league that failed to reach at least four-thousand total yards.
