Police believe man shot on neighbor’s porch was accidental

CROSSVILLE, Alabama (WDEF) – Police continue to investigate a shooting over the weekend in northeast Alabama, even though it now looks accidental.

George Allen Murphy was shot in the head while standing on a neighbor’s porch in the Crossville area.

He is being treated at a local hospital.

Investigators believe he was hot by a juvenile inside the residence.

They believe the shot was accidental.
