GBI investigating officer involved shooting in Calhoun, GA

UPDATE:

Calhoun Police Chief Tony Pyle says the female driver pulled a pistol from the glove box and fired at his officer.

His injury is non life threatening.

The bullet hit his vest, then bounced into his arm.

A second officer returned fire and killed her.

A second passenger in the vehicle was also arrested.

CALHOUN, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says they have been asked to look at an officer involved shooting in Calhoun Tuesday.

The incident happened at a BP Station on North Wall Street and East Line Street in the city limits.

Initial reports say a police officer and a suspect have been shot.

The reports say an officer pulled over a vehicle, and two women opened up fire on him.

The officer was injured.

Reports say officers returned fire and killed one of the women.
