Decatur Homicide Investigation Underway

Decatur, TN (WDEF) – On Saturday, deputies with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office responded to 290 Warren Lane in Decatur, in regards to a death investigation.

Upon arrival, officers found the deceased victim, Michael Joyner, in his residence from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office secured the scene and requested assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

At this time, this incident is being treated as a homicide. The body is being sent for an autopsy.
