Sequatchie Rescue Squad sells fireworks to raise money

DUNLAP (WDEF) – People in Dunlap can start the new year out with a bang and give to a good cause.

The Sequatchie County Rescue Squad is selling fireworks in the evening until January 2nd.

They have a wide variety of items that range in cost from a quarter to nearly 100 dollars.

This is one of their fundraisers.

All the proceeds go back to the department to help with equipment.

Michael Scoggins with the Rescue Squad told us “Any money that they bring in that pays for fireworks, any fireworks they buy helps the community whether they realize it or not they are putting back in the community. Because things that we do in the community that helps us do it, That helps fund to do it.”

The rescue squad also sells fireworks during the Fourth of July.
