Substitute teacher charged with choking a student
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A substitute teacher in Hamilton County is accused of choking a ten year old student and holding him up for five to ten seconds.
Stephen Snyder is charged with aggravated assault.
The mother reported the incident in November and the boy was interviewed.
Earlier this month, students and teachers told Chattanooga Police what happened.
According to the police report, they stated they witnessed the incident and the boy’s eyes rolled back in his head.
Officials with the Hamilton County School District say they were notified about the situation and Snyder was terminated.
