Reward offered for info on 16 stolen firearms in Red Bank

RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward after at least 16 firearms were stolen from a local gun shop.

Police say it happened yesterday.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives spokesperson Michael Knight says someone broke into Dave’s Shooting Supplies, and took both handguns and rifles.

While it may be unclear why this happened, Knight says people who steal firearms, only do it to commit more crimes.

“We are warning the public that especially around this time of the year, if they’re looking to purchase a firearm either on the internet, online or even in person to be aware that if it’s not from a legitimate gun dealer that, that firearm may actually be one of the stolen firearms.”

The reward is for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

If you have any information, contact Red Bank Police or A-T-F.
