UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal wreck

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the identity of the driver killed in yesterday’s fatal crash.

Ellen Hudson was found unresponsive at the scene and pronounced dead after she was transported to an area hospital.

HCSO told us two vehicles collided early Friday evening in Hamilton County.

It happened in the 6900 block of Snow Hill Road around 5:45 PM.

Deputies report that a Honda CRV was heading north when it veered into a ditch, then swung back on the road in the wrong direction.

It hit an oncoming Chrysler Pacifica.

The other driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the wreck continues to be under investigation.
