Athens Tuxedo Company Outfits Kennedy Center Honors
Tom Hanks, Lilly Tomlin, Sting and singer Al Green are getting the ultimate recognition from the nation.
They all received Kennedy Center Honors in a program that aired Tuesday on CBS.
And some of the performers honoring Al Green were wearing custom tuxedos made right here in East Tennessee.
Husband and wife Michael and DeDe Priest are the owners of G. Alexander Tuxedos in Athens.
They got a call from a producer of the show saying they wanted 13 of their tuxes.
"He said I’m the producer of the Kennedy Center honors…We had a nice conversation he explained he had a tribute for Al Green coming up that he loved this tuxedo look," said Michael.
They hope they make a mark on those musicians, the prestigious guests, and people watching across the nation.
"We want to be on every red carpet everywhere," said Dede.
