Passenger dies from Wilcox Boulevard crash

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A 92 year old passenger has died from the injuries he sustained in a crash two weeks ago.

The wreck happened on Wilcox Boulevard on the morning of January 4th.

Around 10:30 AM, A Kia Soul was heading west, about three blocks out of the Wilcox Tunnel.

A Nissan Sentra was turning onto Wilcox the other way from Monroe Street and hit the Kia head on.

92 year old McGary Edwards was seriously injured in the Kia.

The driver, 64 year old Donald Edwards suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
