Chattanooga Food Bank delivers boxes for TSA workers

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Area Food Bank is helping people who are impacted by the partial government shutdown.

Today people with the organization dropped off emergency food boxes at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

It was for TSA employees who have been working without pay.

It comes with a variety of different items to tide them over during their time of need.

Sadie Crunk from the Food Bank tells us “We were glad today to help out TSA workers to keep us safe and protected and we got a call from them that they needed some boxes for their workers, so we responded to that call from them.”

If you live in Hamilton County and feel that you are food insecure, you can contact the food bank to get an emergency food box.
