Mother arrested after joining a fight a Soddy Daisy Middle

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) – A mother and two students have been charged after a fight at Soddy Daisy Middle School Wednesday morning.

The woman came inside the school around 9:55 AM to check out her daughter early.

Officials say that while classes were changing, she saw her daughter and another student go into a bathroom. Then she heard them fighting.

So she went inside and joined the fight.

The School Resource Officer was called and took all three of them into custody.

The unidentified mother was charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct, plus a warning to stay off of school property.

The two girls in the fight have been petitioned to appear in Juvenile Court for Disorderly Conduct.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is not identifying the mother to protect her daughter.
