Meetings planned for Fund Tennessee initiative

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) is hosting regional meetings for the Fund Tennessee initiative. In these nine meetings, they will share details about capital access across the state.

They said the initiative is designed for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

One meeting will take place in Chattanooga. It will be at the Business Development Center on Cherokee Boulevard.

The Chattanooga meeting will take place on Monday, February 27. It will last from 3:30 until 5 p.m.

They said TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and LaunchTN CEO Lindsey Cox will host the meetings.

Additionally, local economic development partners will join McWhorter and Cox.

The nine meetings take place in:

  • Chattanooga
  • Cookeville
  • Nashville
  • Jackson
  • Memphis
  • Martin
  • Knoxville
  • Kingsport
  • Pulaski

A statement on the event webpage says, “TNECD is charged with aiding existing businesses in their efforts to expand and create jobs, promoting the location and expansion of new business and industry in Tennessee, an(d) assisting communities in being prepared for economic development opportunities.
