Greene said she was attacked by an “insane woman” and “screamed at by her adult son.”

She said the attackers had no respect for the restaurant or any of its guests. Greene said they also had no respect for those of different political views, like herself.

In the tweet, Greene said she was working with her staff at a table in the restaurant when it happened.

Someone from Greene’s campaign staff spoke to Atlanta News First about the incident. The staff member said a woman came to the table, introduced herself and then started berating Greene. They said the son also started yelling expletives toward Greene.

The staff member said the restaurant made the woman and her son leave. They also moved Greene to another, more private table, according to the staff member.

Officials said police were not involved in the incident.
