North Carolina doctor charged with felony sexual contact

CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. (WDEF) — The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a local doctor on four counts of felony sexual contact.

They arrested Dr. Thomas Vann Clayton, 66, of Andrews, North Carolina. Police arrested Clayton at his home on March 3.

Clayton faces charges of sexual contact or penetration under pretext of medical treatment.

The sheriff’s office said the lengthy investigation began last year.

Police are still investigating this incident and say no more details can be released at this time.
