Update: One Killed in Dade County Train Crash
UPDATE:
The GSP has identified the person killed in the crash as 77-year-old Ted Junior Wade from Trenton, GA.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a deadly train crash in Dade County.
Troopers responded to South Industrial Boulevard at Sunset Drive around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday.
They say a red Jeep had a mechanical issue, causing it to stop on the railroad tracks.
The railroad crossing arms were up and not activated at the time.
Investigators say a train approached, and hit the left side of the Jeep, pushing it into the ditch.
According to GSP, the driver wasn’t buckled up. They were killed after being thrown from the Jeep.

TRENTON, Ga. (WDEF) — There was a train wreck in Trenton on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday evening, the train was still sitting in the middle of the city.
On the scene, the railroad crossing lights were flashing, and multiple roads were blocked.
However, the train did not appear to have any damage, and it was not derailed.
The train was sitting near S Industrial Boulevard, which is where the photos were taken.
The Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they assisted in the incident, but could not release any information.
