UTC Students Facing Heavier Class Load

The UT Board of Trustees have endorsed a new budget plan from President Joe DiPietro.
It would increase revenue and bring some changes to the system.
At UTC, that means students will have to take at least 15 hours to be considered full time.
The plan also could lead to higher out-of-state tuition.
And the system will consider realigning or closing low performing programs.
They are facing a $377 million funding gap over the next ten years, which is a dramatic increase from projections just a few months ago.
The UT system includes both U.T. in Knoxville and UTC.
