Red Bank Edge Rusher Kobe Smith Commits to Duke

Red Bank, TN-(WDEF-TV) Red Bank defensive end Kobe Smith announced he has verbally committed to play college football at Duke.

He picked the Blue Devils over App State and Chattanooga among others. 24-7 Sports lists Smith as the 86th best edge rusher in America.

Smith racked up 11 sacks last year as a juinor at Red Bank, and he believes he now has a second home at Duke.

Said Smith:”Honestly it was just hanging out with them the whole time on my offical visit, it was like this is it. Not having to worry about where I was gonna go. I now have a place to call home.  It was a lot honestly. I’m still trying to process it at this time.”

Reporter:”How do  you process it?”

Smith:”This is it. I’m ready.”
