Train car full of potatoes catches fire in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A train car caught on fire in Chattanooga on Monday, according to the fire department.

Firefighters responded to a “railroad equipment fire” next to Wilcox Boulevard.

When they arrived, CFD found the train car to be full of potatoes.

It originally caught fire in a maintenance shop but was pushed out of the building.

As of 2:37 p.m., firefighters were still working to extinguish the fire.
