Kentucky Quarterback Reese Phillips Ruptures Achilles Tendon
The Kentucky football team confirmed on Wednesday that sophomore quarterback Reese Phillips suffered a ruptured achilles tendon during a workout.
The former Signal Mountain standout will undergo surgery and miss all of spring practice.
The Wildcats remain hopeful that Phillips will be able to return this fall.
Phillips was Kentucky’s second string quarterback behind Patrick Towles last season.
In three games, he completed 2 of 9 passes for 45 yards with an interception.
