Woman injured in East Brainerd shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are looking for a suspect after shots were fired into a home in East Brainerd overnight.

The shooting happened in the 7500 block of John Henry Road after midnight, on Friday.

That’s a couple of blocks from the East Brainerd and Gunbarrel intersection.

A woman inside the home was hit by the shots.

Police say she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

They say the circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation.
